The Month of May

For the last several months I have been looking to rearrange our financial situation. Heather stopped "working" so she could be at home, help with todos around the house, and prepare for motherhood. This decrease in our finances, though, wasn't complemented by an decrease in spending!

So, we prayed for two things. 1) that I would get a new job, and 2) that I would sell my costly 2002 VW Jetta 1.8T. We looked and looked... no really great job opportunities. We looked and looked... no takers for the car.

But then the month of May came. And since it's Mary's month, we decided to entrust theses causes to her care. Lo and behold, near the beginning of the month we found both a job prospect and a car buyer prospect. And just this last week, I 1) got a new job, 2) sold the Jetta, and 3) bought a very inexpensive car from my parents. Go Mary!

So, now I'll be leaving the Office of Youth Ministry¹ as their web developer to become the web developer for Regnum Christi² and all their apostolates' websites. God certainly surprises me, and these last few months he asked me to place all of my trust in him. And he's a God who keeps his promises.
