Top Ten Advent Songs

There's a new group called Top Catholic Songs¹, and it's basically a group of Catholic musicians who nominate songs to be a part of top ten lists, which then get voted on by the community.  The top ten most popular songs win.  It's part of an effort to help the Catholic music consumer to find great, new music.

The first list the group has put together is the Top Ten Advent Songs², and guess who was #6?  Me!  For fun, I nominated "Something's Gonna Come," since it's kind of Advent-ish, and all about waiting for something to come.  I wrote it about recovering from a broken heart, but hopefully the lyric is universal enough to apply to waiting for the our Savior's birth, or even waiting to be united with Jesus Christ in Heaven.

There are some great songs on this list.  So, check out the list, listen to the songs (you can listen to snippets right on the site), and purchase the ones you like through iTunes.  I have a feeling that more lists are gonna come, too.
