I imagine being back on the farm where I was raised, during Autumn, standing under the big tree in our front yard, seeing the bright leaves on and below that tree, feeling the ground under my feet, and the pleasant smells of nature — some of the many ways through which God reveals himself to us. This is a song to help the heart find God through his creation, as we marvel at his beautiful world around us.
Fall your leaves on me, spinning silently
With arms outstretched to thee
Let me feel the soil beneath my feet
Chill your breeze on me, flying quietly
In the crisp air I breathe
Grant that I may hear the wispering trees
Let your breath sustain me
I gaze in awe at your creation
May I always praise thee
Trail your scent on me, bless it fragrantly
By the flowers that I see
May I not lose sight on your beauty
