Hey everybody, I'm one year old! I know it's been a while since my last blog, but I've been really busy and haven't had much time for the computer. I've been learning how to sit, stand, crawl, and walk! I'm pretty good at all those things now.
I mainly wanted to write to tell everyone about the great birthday celebration I had. It all started with the YFE (see my mommy's last blog1 about that) when Grandpa and Grandma and Aunt Erin came from Odessa to see me (I saw Uncle Nathan, too). I got some early presents from them—toys and clothes...what more could a toddler ask for? Wow, I'm a toddler!? Anyway, that was just the beginning.
After the YFE was over, my Grandpa and Grandma from St. Louis came! They brought my Aunts Lauren and Nicole, and even their two dogs. They all stayed in the house with me and my Mommy and Daddy. They gave me more presents. What did they give me? Clothes and toys, of course!
But it still wasn't my birthday yet. The day before my actual birthday, Mommy and Daddy had a birthday party for me with lots of friends and family. We went swimming first and then came home, where Daddy grilled burgers and we ate some yummy food. Grandpa and Grandma and my Aunts all helped a lot with the party.
Our house was very full of wonderful people, and they were all talking and playing games. There were lots of kids there my age and some a little older, and they all thought my toys were really neat. I liked playing with those other kids a lot. Oh, and I couldn't believe it, but I got even more presents!
The next day was my birthday. This was a special day for just me, Mommy, and Daddy. I really liked it. They cuddled and snuggled me a lot and talked about how glad they are that I'm here with them. I'm glad too.
In case you were wondering, I got some more presents on my birthday. I think Mommy and Daddy were pretty excited about me turning one because they got me a whole bunch of stuff. Mainly toys and clothes! We even went shopping for some special shoes called Robeez that Mommy and Daddy really wanted me to have. The shoes are neat because they are soft and easy to walk in and also very cutesy.
My first birthday was really fun. I got another present yesterday in the mail, believe it or not, and I hear I'm getting some more. But even though you might think that presents would be the best part about my first birthday, that's not true. The best part is being so loved.
